MMR Asturias Bike Race emerges with the ambition of following the history of the other races mentioned, to become a European benchmark and be part of the International Cycling Union’s (UCI) calendar, which is 2019 will be determinant to award points for the qualification of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
MMR Asturias Bike Race, which will celebrate its first edition from July 6 to 8, will have three MTB marathon loop stages and will be based in Pola de Siero. Asturias’ natural environment will offer an spectacular route, really attractive for the hundreds of mountain bikers expected, in a time of the year ideal for the weather to make the route stand out even more.
MMR Asturias Bike Race will begin its registration period soon via its official website, www.asturiasbikerace.com There will be up to one thousand entries available until June 17, starting at special price of 135 € for the first 200 registrants.

Victor Manuel Fernández (Wolfbike) from Córdoba and Mónica Carrascosa from Asturias (Bikezona), have handled the advantage achieved in the three days of racing and have achieved the victory in EliteMen and Elite Women. The first edition of MMR Asturias Bike Race is already history. An edition in which the riders have overcome 180 km and 6.000 m of climbing in three days of racing. Three stages marked by the intensity of its route, the beauty of its landscapes and a guest: the mud, which has intensified the race’s epic.

Pedro Romero from Extremadura (Extremadura-Ecopilas) has been the fastest to overcome the 73 km of today's stage. Mónica Carrascosa (Bikezona) and Rocío Gamonal (RG) both from Asturias have repeated victory in Elite and Master Women category, respectively.
