Four days and four stages

The major novelty of MMR Asturias Bike Race 2019 will be its extra day of racing, in accordance with the new regulations of the International Cycling Union (UCI). It will be held from June 6-9 and will have four circular stages starting and finishing in Tineo (the first three days) and Lugones (the last day).

The new format entails some logistical changes for the riders that the organisation intends to minimise, in order to keep it as similar as possible to its successful three-day format.

MMR Asturias Bike Race 2019 will start on Thursday afternoon with a short and easy stage to get the feel of the race, avoiding a great physical fatigue to the riders, and helping them to travel on the same day. Also, the start numbers can be collected during Thursday morning, maintaining the same nights stays.

Thus, MMR Asturias Bike Race 2019 ensures one more day of fun without the need to take an additional day off and hardly increasing the riders’ expenses.
