Great poster at MMR Asturias Bike Race

It will have Spanish champions in all disciplines

The second edition of MMR Asturias Bike Race debuts on the UCI (International Cycling Union) calendar with outstanding Mountain Bikers that promise rivalry. The number one  will be for the current winner of the race. Víctor Manuel Fernández (Wolfbike) will have to face, among others, David Valero (MMR Factory Racing) sixth in the UCI ranking and current Spanish champion of Cross Country (XCO) or the current Argentine champion Catriel Soto (MMR Factory Racing).

The Bolivian Ever Alejandro Gómez (Olympia Factory Cycling), will be another favourite for the final victory. Ordinary on the podiums of La Rioja Bike Race or YoPRO Catalunya Bike Race, this time he will look for the MMR Asturias Bike Race podium. Other names that will give quality and level to the race are those of; the double Spanish champion of cyclocross, Ismael Esteban (Aldro-Arrueda); the Spanish champion of MTB Marathon (XCM) 2017, Ismael Ventura (ESMTB) or the current Spanish champion of MTB Marathon (XCM) Sub 23, Manuel Cordero (Extremadura-Ecopilas). 

In addition, the second edition of MMR Asturias Bike Race will feature the three-time World Champion en route, Óscar Freire (MMR Factory Racing). Another recognised professional ex-cyclist like Manuel 'Triki' Beltrán (Bujarkay-MMR), fourth in the last edition, will repeat participation.

A disputed Elite Woman box

In the Elite Woman category, four are the names to follow in this MMR Asturias Bike Race. The first one is Clàudia Galicia (Megamo), the current Spanish of Cross Country (XCO) and runner-up in Europe MTB Marathon (XCM) 2017, as well as winner of past editions of Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén, La Rioja Bike Race and YoPRO Catalunya Bike Race. His great rivals will be Natalia Fischer (MMR Factory Racing), ambassador of the race, two-time Spanish champion of MTB Marathon (XCM), and second in Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén, behind the Norwegian Hildegunn G. Hovdenak (Olympia Factory Cycling), who will also be present at MMR Asturias Bike Race. The current Cross Country Estonian Champion (XCO), Janika Loiv will also animate the competition.
