"Mi goal is to be competitive"

Natalia Fischer (MMR Factory Racing), race ambassador and two-time MTB Marathon Spanish champion, is one of the main favourites to face the final victory.

What do you stands out about to be the race ambassador?

This year and the last, I had the opportunity to be an Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural Jaén ambassador, and being an ambassador for MMR Asturias Bike Race this year, means a lot to me, representing my Asturian team MMR Factory Racing is proud, in a wonderful land as is Asturias. In addition, this is the second edition of the race, but the first year that is UCI, in which there will be much competitive level.

What are your goal in this MMR Asturias Bike Race?

Mainly be competitive. There is a lot of riders with a high level,  so what I want is to give a good image of the team and learn a lot, as always.

You know the zone of Asturias although it is very different from the Malaga ... what would you highlight in the area?

Asturias stands out for the hardness of its land, large harbors that will be made much more enjoyable by the spectacular landscapes, and surely it will make us more enjoyable and we can enjoy all and much.

You raced the first block of races of Cross Countr (XCO) World Cup, how did you feel and which is you shape for the MMR Asturias Bike Race?

I arrive to Asturias looking forward to it, because I feel really comfortable nowadays in the marathon races. The MMR Asturias Bike Race will give me, first of all, more kilometres, therefore more preparation, and finally a better race pace.

Let’s talk about the bike and the equipment you’re going to ride with.

Surely I’ll use the Kenta. The reasons are, I’m use to ride with the Kenta in the Marathon races, mostly because of the comfortability, and my body doesn’t suffer that much. I feel even more recovered for the next stage. I will ride with a “Cobra” for the front tyre and a “Python” for the rear tyre, both from Hutchinson. They give me more grip and confidence against punctures. In terms of the saddle, I will use the SAN MARCO “SHORT FIT”, that I feel really comfortable with from the very beginning of the season. Shortly and width. In the fork I will go for the new ROCKSHOCK SID WORLD CUP (100mm), carbon PROTOTYPE wheels, SRAM EAGLE 12V groupset, and the RITCHEY WORLD CUP handlebar and stem. In the pedals, I’ll ride with RITCHEY, and my nutrition will be ENERVIT stuff. Finally, my WAHOO is going to be my GPS.
